Call for participants
Topic: Experiences of gender diversity in Japan
Target group: Transgender, x-gender, cross-dressing, drag performers and gender diverse people living in Japan
Timeline: February 2024 - March 2024
Info: I am a postdoctoral research at Ochanomizu University in Tokyo. My project is on gender diverse experiences in Japan, with a focus on how people find ways to overcome discrimination. I would like to show how gender diverse people in Japan can individually and communally work to address ignorance and marginalisation, to help have better lives.
If you would like to contribute to the project by participating in an interview, please get in touch. The interview will last one to two hours and can be scheduled to your convenience, and we can meet wherever you feel most comfortable. All interview data will be anonymous. A colleague, who is LGBT and assisting in my project, will provide Japanese/English interpretation.

対象者： 日本在住のトランスジェンダー、Xジェンダー、女装、ドラァグパフォーマー、多様なジェンダーをもつ人々
時期： 2024年 2月 ～ 2024年 3月
概要: 私はお茶の水女子大学(東京都)で博士(ポスドク)研究員をしているフランス・ローズ・ハートラインと申します。私のプロジェクトは、日本におけるジェンダーの多様な経験についてであり、人々がどのように差別を克服する方法を見つけるかに焦点を当てています。私は、多様なジェンダーをもつ日本の人々が、より良い生活を送るために、個人やコミュニティとして、どのように無視や周縁化に対処できるかを示したいと思っています。
インタビューに参加して、このプロジェクトに貢献したい方は、ぜひご連絡ください。インタビューは1～2時間程度で、あなたのスケジュールに合わせて行うことができますし、どこでお会いしてもかまいません。インタビューデータはすべて匿名となります。LGBTであり私のプロジェクトに協力してくれている同僚が、日英通訳をします。
